Led by the classy Ruturaj Gaikwad, CSK is currently 6th on the points table with 5 wins and 5 losses. They are fighting hard for that playoff spot! With stars like Sanju Samson (who has been in red-hot form with two centuries this season) and the legendary MS Dhoni potentially finishing games, Chepauk is their fortress. Their spin attack, featuring Noor Ahmad, is perfectly suited for this track.
LSG, captained by Rishabh Pant in this 2026 season, is struggling at the bottom of the table (10th place). However, they just coming off a morale-boosting win against RCB! With explosive players like Nicholas Pooran and Aiden Markram, they have the firepower to upset any team. Historically, LSG actually holds a slight 3-2 edge over CSK in head-to-head battles.
The MA Chidambaram Stadium is famous for being a "spinner’s paradise." The ball usually stops and turns, making it hard for new batters. Since it's a 3:30 PM game, expect the pitch to be dry and the humidity to be high. The team winning the toss might want to bat first to avoid chasing on a tiring pitch under the sun.
CSK Likely XI: Ruturaj Gaikwad (C), Sanju Samson (WK), Sarfaraz Khan, Dewald Brevis, Shivam Dube, Kartik Sharma, Jamie Overton, Mukesh Choudhary, Noor Ahmad, Gurjapneet Singh, Anshul Kamboj.
LSG Likely XI: Quinton de Kock, Rishabh Pant (C/WK), Aiden Markram, Nicholas Pooran, Mitchell Marsh, Ayush Badoni, Deepak Hooda, Ravi Bishnoi, Naveen-ul-Haq, Yash Thakur, Mayank Yadav.
Looking at the "Home Advantage" and the current form of Sanju Samson and Ruturaj, CSK starts as favorites with a 55% winning probability. However, never count out Rishabh Pant’s LSG, especially when they are fighting for survival!
Our Prediction: Chennai Super Kings to win this nail-biter at Chepauk!
